EFIT Workshop: EFIT: Transform Anxiety to Security, 3 hours
Only for mental health professionals (or students of these disciplines)
“EFIT: Transform Anxiety into Security” is the Eighteenth installment of the Online EFT workshop series that will hone your EFT skills. The focus of this workshop is to help therapists effectively work with clients struggling with anxiety. Anxiety may surface in the therapy room as a primary presenting concern (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder), as a component of broader mental health challenges (e.g., Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), or as the emotion fueling negative relational interactions (e.g., couple conflict, family disconnection). It often disrupts emotional balance in individuals, as well as connections and safety in relationships. Anxiety can leave clients feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or stuck in cycles of avoidance and fear. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), grounded in attachment science, offers a powerful framework for understanding and transforming anxiety by addressing the underlying emotional and relational needs. This three-hour experiential workshop will equip therapists with practical tools to recognize how anxiety shows up in the EFT process, guide clients in accessing and regulating their emotions, and foster secure bonds that provide comfort and resilience. Through didactic teaching, video demonstrations, and clinical applications, participants will gain confidence in working with anxiety from an attachment-based and experiential lens.
