Herman came to Skylark to provide 5 days of Intensive Family Therapy Training. In doing so he provided a historical overview regarding the development of family therapy that focused on a variety of family therapy modalities. The training was well prepared and he provided a number of real case scenarios that implemented various learning styles though methods such as lecturing, role playing, videos and live demonstrations. Herman expertly and flexibly took feedback well from each session from staff and incorporated it into the following sessions. Our agency greatly benefitted from the training and we continue to have consultation in order to implement Family Therapy as a modality of service.

As co-director of the MDiv Counselling Major at Tyndale Seminary I had oversight of all the teaching faculty. Herman Chow was one of my valued colleagues. Herman brings relevant and up-to-date material and presents it to students in a way that is engaging for the learner. Student evaluations of his courses were always very positive. Although I no longer hold the position as director, I know that Herman continues to be an asset at Tyndale, both to the students and to the faculty and I hope that he will continue to bring his teaching skills to Tyndale for a long time in the future.
