Course: EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED COUPLE THERAPYOct 1, 2, 7, 8, 2022 Singapore Time Description This is a course offered by the Singapore University of Social Science (SUSS) with Dr. Herman Chow as the instructor. The course examines Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) as an attachment-based, short-term, experiential, and systemic model. EFFT will help couples create secure connections by attending to their emotional experiences. Students will gain an introduction to the major concepts of EFT, attachment theory, and the 3 stages and 9 steps of EFT. The emphasis is placed on the clinical skills and interventions utilized in EFT. A variety of methods will be used to enrich the teaching and learning process, including didactic teaching, case studies, videos, small group discussion, readings, interactive exercises, and reflective journaling.
