Description
“Attachment Made Simple” is the fifteenth instalment of the Online EFT workshop series that will hone your EFT skills. Attachment theory (or, as Dr. Sue Johnson would say, “Attachment Science”) is an evidence-based work that is the centrepiece of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The focus of this workshop is to help you understand and work with attachment in your EFT work with clients. We will cut through some of the fluff and theory and show you how to use attachment science and language to deepen your clients by eliciting their clients’ fears and longings. Various teaching methods will be used, such as concise teachings, video clips, demonstrations, etc.


This workshop is for participants who have some working knowledge of EFT and want to expand their EFT skills. EFT is an evidence-based model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson that can be used effectively in working with individuals, couples, and families.


Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, the learner should be able to:

1. Understand clearly what is attachment theory/science
2. Understand attachment theory/science and its relation to EFT, especially the model of self/others (which is an essential work in EFT Stage 2)
3. Assess and utilize attachment languages and frameworks to deepen our clients’ connection to self and others
4. Choreograph meaningful enactments

Who should attend

• Anyone who works with clients (individuals, couples, or families) using EFT, e.g. psychotherapists, couple and family therapists, psychologists, pastors, etc.
  
• Any novice and seasoned EFT therapist who wants to have a clearer understand how EFT uses attachment science

​Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) has approved 3 Continued Education Hours for this training. You can most likely use the 3 hours towards your Associations’ Continued Education requirement (e.g. CAMFT, AAMFT) and Colleges (e.g. CRPO).

Fee
The regular fee is $80 (Canadian) per person. 
The early bird fee is $70 (Canadian) per person if you sign up and pay on or before Apr 22, 2024.
The full-time student fee is $40 (Canadian).
